Notable_instruments =The Fringe was a late-1990s North
London eclecticindie rock band. Mixing their traditional instruments with electronic elements and effects with songs sometimes having almostprog rock aspects, The Fringe stuck out from other bands of the time with songs often hard to pigeon hole into a specific genre. They would often play inCamden Town ,Kings Cross, London and surrounding areas. The band released a double A side limited 7" single through the Blue Dog Singles Club, (release number 12) - "Lady James Day" and "She Goes Down". The Fringe was championed as the ones to watch in music magazine "The Fly", often selling out the Barfly with music industry A&R personnel often in the front row. The band made demos forEMI , supportedAlabama 3 at Ocuparty 2 and shared a single launch withThe Cooper Temple Clause . The band then disappeared leaving Feeder,Snow Patrol , Ash and The Cooper Temple Clause as a small reminder of the late 1990sCamden Town music scene.Line-up
