World War II . He pitched in 22 games for the Brooklyn Dodgers during the 1944 season, starting four of them and completing two. He allowed 114 baserunners (74 hits and 40 walks) in just 64.2innings . He also gave up 52 runs, but only 38 of them wereearned runs .His lone win as a Dodger came on
July 30 ,1944 in the first game of adouble-header atEbbets Field . He was the starting pitcher in a 10-4 victory against theSt. Louis Cardinals .Warren's season (and career) totals include a record of 1-4, 18
