Plot

Dr. Jonathan Dempsey (Ted Danson) is obliged to travel to Scotland after his search in the American region of the Pacific Northwest for the legendary Bigfoot. In Scotland he reluctantly begins on a cryptozoology mission along with Adrian Foote (James Frain), a Scottish assistant, to discover the truth, once and for all, behind the mystery of the most famous creature of all, The Loch Ness Monster. Despite being a cryptozoologist, Dr. Dempsey is quite sceptical about the existence of the creature. However, some events will lead him to change his mind. Ian Holm co-stars as the Loch's guardian and protector of the Loch Ness Monster family. Unlike some horror film versions, the film takes a more romantic approach to the subject.
