- Dushman
-
Dushman is a word of Persian origin, meaning "enemy". It has been introduced into numerous other, primarily neighbouring languages, as a loanword, such as: Dari, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Turkish. It has also entered the Serbo-Croatian and Romanian languages, as a result of their exposure to the Ottoman Turkish language during the Middle Ages, spread by the Ottoman Empire, which itself was heavily influenced by Persian language as well as culture (see Persianate society).
Dushman may refer to:
- Dushman (1971 film), Hindi language film starring Rajesh Khanna
- Dushman (1990 film), Hindi language film directed by Shakti Samanta
- Dushman (1998 film), Hindi language film starring Kajol and Sanjay Dutt
