What would Reagan do?

What would Reagan do?

The phrase "What would Reagan do?" (often abbreviated to WWRD) has become popular in the United States in the 2000s as a personal motto for Conservative Republicans who use the phrase to demonstrate the belief that Ronald Reagan is a model example of a conservative politician and to indicate support for his policies. The initialism "WWRD" is sometimes also used. It is a phrase used to lambaste what many Republicans perceive as the big spending tendency of the Republican Party in the early twenty-first century. It originated by analogy from the earlier phrase "What would Jesus do?".
