Out and about
There is a general market in Quimperlé every Friday morning, and this is an excellent opportunity to see a real slice of local colour, as well as to avail yourself of the chance to buy the very best of local goods and produce. If you are a lover of fish and seafood, don't miss the daily fish market too... just follow your nose! Like many French towns, Quimperlé has its fair share of festivals and fêtes, and the details of these can be obtained from the tourist office. There are musical concerts and festivals throughout August, and the major event of the Fête de la Laïta is definitely worth attending.
