Nailbourne Valley in arural setting on the oldRoman road ,Watling Street , formerly the main road betweenLondon andDover . The village lies 2.5mile s south-east ofCanterbury .It is likely that the parish took its name from "Bregge" a bridge which crossed the
River Little Stour , a tributary of the Stour itself.
