January 27 ,1977 inTurku ,Finland ) is a professional Finnishice hockey player who plays right wing for the Frölunda Indians in the SwedishElitserien . He is currently serving as an alternate captain for the team.Kallio was drafted 81st overall by the
Colorado Avalanche in the1995 NHL Entry Draft and began his professional career with TPS of theSM-liiga and spent five seasons there, winning the championship trophy in 1999 and 2000. He then moved to theNational Hockey League with theAtlanta Thrashers who claimed him from Colorado in the1999 NHL Expansion Draft . He spent two seasons in Atlanta before he was traded withPauli Levokari to theColumbus Blue Jackets forPetteri Nummelin andChris Nielsen . He would play just 12 games for Columbus before claimed off waivers by thePhiladelphia Flyers , playing just seven games before moving to Sweden to play for Västra Frölunda HC where he continues to play and is in his sixth season with the team. He has won theLe Mat Trophy twice with Frölunda, in 2003 and 2005.Kallio's three-year extension from 2006 is expiring in 2009, but Kallio already has his mind set on reaching new agreement with Frölunda.
