Claud Hamilton, 2nd Lord Hamilton, Baron of Strabane (c. 1606 – 14 June 1638) was the third son of James Hamilton, 1st Earl of Abercorn and Marion Boyd.
He matriculated at the University of Glasgow in 1621. A Roman Catholic, he was briefly jailed in June 1628 for abetting his servant in an attack on an officer of the Church of Scotland. On 28 November 1632, he married Lady Jean Gordon, daughter of George Gordon, 1st Marquess of Huntly. They had four children:
In 1633, his elder brother, James Hamilton, 2nd Earl of Abercorn, resigned his Irish title of Baron Hamilton of Strabane to the crown, which regranted it to Claud on 14 August 1634, with the original precedence. His brother also gave to him the family's large estates in County Tyrone, where he died in 1638.
