Wallu Valpio

Jani Petteri "Wallu" Valpio (born September 7, 1973, in Jyväskylä) is a Finnish on/off celebrity, he started his career as a member of the musical group "Arto Muna ja Millennium Orkesteri". He became famous on the free cable-channel MoonTV where he originally hosted the "Never Trust a Hippie"-programme and later other music-themed programmes, such as annual "Festival Specials" and "Videoraati" (the channel's take on "Levyraati"). Since the demise of MoonTV Valpio has vowed to become a representative of youth in Finnish politics, but has yet to have landed a seat in parliament.

He is still considered a notable celebrity in Finland, appearing regularly in various tabloid-magazines. He recently surfaced on the YLE show "Elämä pelissä" (Life on the Line) where he was estimated to die before the age of 60 due to his amount of daily alcohol consumption and smoking. On this show Valpio admitted of suffering from an extended period of depression after the cancellation of MoonTV.
