- Stephen G. Kurtz
Stephen G. Kurtz was an American
academic , known mostly for his writings on theAmerican Revolution .He held degrees from
Princeton University and theUniversity of Pennsylvania .He served a teaching post as a
history teacher atAthens College , inGreece and posts atWabash College andHamilton College and was Principal ofPhillips Exeter Academy between1974 and1987 . In1981 , he received an honorary degree from Princeton. In1999 he was acting president of Athens College.Additionally, Kurtz served on the faculties of
William and Mary College ,Columbia University andAmerican University .Mr. Kurtz passed away January 24, 2008.
