Skyside 6

Skyside 6

Skyside 6 was the radio term for God used by U.S. ground forces during the Vietnam War. It was often utilized as a source of humor in situations where only God himself could provide the solution to a given set of circumstances.

A typical radio communiqué including this call sign might sound something like this: "Pied Piper 6, this is Alfa 6 Actual. Let me speak to your Actual. Over. Alfa 6 Actual, we're not gonna get out of this mess without the help of Skyside 6 Actual."

Terms such as this have recently been utilized as account login names, etc., on internet gaming services by military and history-savy superior gamers. Many times names such as this are used as alternatives to fictional creatures of the wild, such as Bigfoot or the Chupa Cabra, which themselves are often ill-coupled with a career description by the vain gamer. See "ChupaCabraJAG."
