Wojciech Kowalczyk (born
April 14 ,1972 inWarsaw ) is a Polish football player. He plays as a striker. In his international career he played 39 caps, scoring 11 goals.Kowalczyk begun his career in small Warsaw club, "Olimpia", later on moved to "Polonez Warszawa" to become
Legia Warszawa player in 1990. From the very beginning he became supporters favourite, his two goals againstSampdoria Genoa in quarterfinal ofCup Winners' Cup , giving Legia promotion tosemifinal , only strengthen his position at the club.Kowalczyk debuted in National team in
August 21 1991 against Sweden. He won silver with Olympic team in Barcelona'92. In 1994 Kowalczyk moved toReal Betis . Later he played inUD Las Palmas (Spain), returned briefly to Legia, to move to play onCyprus , where he became Cup winner with Anorthosis and Champion with APOEL. Nowadays he plays in amateur team from Warsaw, AZS Absolwent UW Warszawa.Teams
