Hassan Yektapanah

Hassan Yektapanah (Born 1963 Tehran) is a world class Iranian (Persian) filmmaker and screen writer.

He started his carrier as an assistant director, first with Jafar Panahi on “The Mirror” (1997) and then on Abbas Kiarostami’s award-winning film “The Taste of Cherry” (1997).

He made his own debut as a director with “Djomeh” (2000), winning the coveted Caméra d'Or for the best first-time entry at Cannes.
