He was Co-founder and President ofVelocity Capital Management , where he famously turned US$100 million into US$1 billion between 1996 and 2001.From 1979 to 1984, Kessler worked for
AT&T Bell Labs as a chip designer and programmer. In 1985, he joinedPaine Webber in New York as an analyst of theelectronics andsemiconductor industry. In 1989, Andy Kessler joinedMorgan Stanley as a semiconductor analyst before moving to San Francisco in 1993. There he worked forUnterberg Harris as aninvestor .
