Metz , Lorraine, France 4 December 1733, diedGröningen , Germany, 27 July, 1804) was a Jesuit preacher, pulpit orator and émigré priest following theFrench revolution , when he fled toLondon .His works consist of sermons and letters in manuscript form, however, a collection of his sermons, made by one of his hearers, was first printed at
