2006 , finishing a disappointing 14th from 17 "Championship Class" runners.He represented Australia in the final race as second driver in the 2005-06 A1 Grand Prix of Nations season, then second round of the
2006-07 A1 Grand Prix season in the Czech Republic, without scoring any points, but in the third round in Beijing, China, he ended up on the podium in the Feature Race, after staying on the circuit while others fell by the wayside. He contined on until the Durban event in South Africa then was dropped by the team. He joined the ranks of the Asian Formula Renault V6 series in 2007, but only ran one meeting.2008 saw him join Matt Connolly Motorsports Pontiac GTO.R team for the Daytona 24 Hour. Karl qualified the car 30th and 5th in GT, but had drama's during the race and finished 45th and 27th in class. This was a warm-up event for his introduction into
V8 Supercars with Howard Racing. He will do the full Fujitsu series in 2008, partneringDean Canto .Career Results
