Alan Davies (5 December 1961 – 5 February 1992) was a Welsh footballer whose regular position was on the right wing.

He started eight games for Manchester United between 1982 and 1984 having signed for them on leaving school in 1978. Davies, then 21, played for Manchester United in their 1983 FA Cup triumph against Brighton. He later turned out for Newcastle United, Bradford City and Swansea City. He also earned 13 caps for the Wales national football team. The highlight of his career was when he scored in the 1984 Cup-Winners-Cup semi-final first leg against Juventus, after coming on as a substitute.

On 5 February 1992, Davies was found dead in his car near his home in South Wales, at the age of just 30. He had committed suicide. At the time of his death, he was on the books of Swansea City.
