Ca Va Studios or "Ca Va Sound" is a professional
recording studio at 30 Bentinck Street , Kelvingrove in the West End ofGlasgow ,Scotland .Situated in the former
Kelvingrove Church, the studios began in 1974 and since then have recorded some of the biggest names on the UK and international music scene includingBelle & Sebastian , David Byrne, Mogwai and The Fall to name a few. The studio hosts an exquisite Neve VR Legend mixing console and is Scotland's only home for the ultimate in digital audio recording devices - PrismSound audio convertors.Ca Va Sound also owns Scotland's only professional independent mobile studio which hosts an SSL4000E 48 track console and Protools.
The studio takes its name from the former band of founder Brian Young, "Ca Va". Brian was also a lecturer at
Perth College of Further Education in Scotland for many years, and a Board of Management member atStow College , Glasgow.In 2005, Ca Va Sound downsized its church building and now has a large recording studio with the Neve console, a smaller broadcast ISDN studio and the Ca Va Soundmobile.
