"Straight Shooter" is the fifth studio album by James Gang, released in 1972, and the only released on Paramount Records. The band's previous label, ABC Records, would acquire Paramount Records (and its related labels) in 1974. The rights to this and all James Gang albums before this one are now owned by Universal Music Group.

This album is the last recording featuring guitarist Domenic Troiano, who was replaced by Tommy Bolin.
