Jeff Johnson (born February 28, 1977 in Toronto, Ontario) is a running back with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.
Before playing in the CFL, Jeff starred at York University in Toronto. While at York, totaled 553 carries for 3,365 yards with 18 touchdowns rushing, 37 pass receptions for 436 yards with two touchdowns, 28 kickoff returns for 776 yards and one touchdown during his four-year York University career…was named the CIAU’s outstanding rookie in 1996…also was an Ontario University Athletics First-Team All-Star in 1996, 1997 and 1999 and a CIAU Second-Team All-Canadian in 1997 and 1999…in his final year at York, had 173 carries for 977 yards with five touchdowns rushing, to go with 11 catches for 133 yards and one touchdown added 196 yards on 11 kickoff returns.A Kinesiology major at York, Jeff works as a personal trainer in the off-season at the Mississauga Club Fitness Institute. His favourite film is Lord of the Rings and his favourite book is Into Thin Air. Jeff is a regular player on the Argos’ charity Frozen Boatmen hockey team. He hopes to eventually open his own fitness club
