FC Borysfen Boryspil

FC Borysfen Boryspil was a Ukrainian football team, which commenced the 2006-07 season in the Ukrainian First League, but was unable to complete the season. The team was based in Boryspil, Ukraine.

Borysfen started at amateur level in 1997 and soon was promoted to the Druha Liha. The club eventually won through to the Ukrainian Premier League, but by 2005 they finished in last position and were relgated back to the Persha Liha.

In 2007, after the winter break, the club suffered financial difficulties, went into bankruptcy and folded.

In the mid 90's there was another team with the same name, but that franchise came to Borispil from Myronivka region ("Nyva")and then merged with the Army's team ("CSKA-Borysfen", "CSKA") and moved to Kiev. Later, that "Borysfen" was bought out by Kievan municipality and was renamed into "Arsenal".
