Gaelic Athletic Association club is agaelic football club in Emo,County Laois , Ireland.The club was founded in the 1950s and club colours are white with a red hoop.
Famous players past and present include Gabriel Lawlor,
Mick Lawlor and Billy Sheehan.Emo won their only
Laois Senior Football Championship title in 1972 when Paddy Lawlor captained his team to victory overGraiguecullen .Emo won the
Laois Junior Football Championship in 1962, theLaois Intermediate Football Championship in 1964, theLaois Minor Football Championship in 1964 and 1965 and theLaois Under 21 Football Championship in 1966 and 1967.Players from the other club in the parish
Courtwood played on the minor and Under 21 winning teams and the two clubs also combined to win the Under 21 title again in 1989 and 1990 asCourtwood /Emo. They have also won this years(2008) minor championship. They marched their way to the final brushing aside their opposition with ease. Led by their brave and arguably their most valuable player capitan Brian Gorman. Although their inspireational full-back James Coman was severly injured in a previous match they still battled to victory in their matches.
