Travis County, Texas, United StatesYears active 2001–present Nicole Paggi (born August 15, 1977) is an American actress best known for playing as the character Sydney on the television sitcom Hope & Faith during its first season, as well as Sara on the television sitcom One on One.
Early life
Paggi was born in Travis County, Texas, and grew up in Austin, Texas. She spent the two years studying intensively in Los Angeles and New York with a view to becoming an actress.
In 2001, Paggi landed her big break when she was cast as Jenny, the outspoken best friend of Allison Lohman's character, in "Pasadena" for FOX. Following this she increased her screen exposure with the recurring role of Brittany on the popular NBC series, "Providence." That same year Paggi starred in an original telefilm, "Frozen Impact," where, coincidentally, she played the daughter to Ted McGinley's character. Additionally she has been cast in numerous guest leading roles, including "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Judging Amy," "Fastlane," "Glory Days" and in the CBS pilot "Expert Witness."
Nicole Paggi played Hope's oldest child, Sydney (on ABC's TGIF hit "Hope & Faith" Season 1), a 15-year-old beauty whose hormones are at full throttle. Sydney often rebels at her mother's authority but idolises her Aunt Faith.
Paggi resides in Los Angeles, where she spends her free time traveling, cooking, reading and running.
Acting career
She first appeared in 2002 in the television series Glory Days where she played the character of Maddie Mills for the episode called "Everybody Loves Rudy."
Also in 2002 she appeared in the crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation also for the one time episode "Let the Seller Beware" where she played the character of Nicole Exmoor.
She appeared again in 2002 where she was in Providence playing the character Britney where she appeared in the episodes "The Sound of Music," "Cloak & Dagger," "A New Beginning," "Out of Control," "Smoke and Mirrors," and "Gotcha."
In 2003, she was in the TV series Fastlane as Zoe, and she also appeared in "Frozen Impact" as Marie Blanchard. She also appeared in Judging Amy, where she played the character of Ms. Griffin. That same year, she became Sydney Shanowski on the ABC series Hope & Faith and left in 2004, being replaced by Megan Fox.
