Alexis Rivera Curet (born October_29, 1982, Puerto Rico) is a football player for the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division. He specializes as a defender but also proficient as a Midfielder. Before the Islanders, Rivera played with the club Atléticos de San Juan in Puerto Rico. He had the experience to participate in tournaments through England,South America,Spain. He also represented Puerto Rico in the Caribbean and Central American Games. Because of his spectacular performance during the first year with the Puerto Rico Islanders,he won the 2004 Athlete of the Year recognition made by the Puerto Rico Soccer Federation. The 2006 will be this third year with the Puerto Rico Islanders. Considered one of the members of the new generation of Puerto Rican soccer players named the baloneros boricuas. He has more that 100 caps in both Infant, Juvenile and Senior team categories.
