Dahm attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the late 1980s, where his professional career began as a writer for the then-new "The Onion". He is the author of "The Cultural Idiocy Quiz" and co-author of several other humor books. A three time Emmy nominee, Dahm currently resides in New York with his wife, screenwriter Leyla Kader Dahm.Fact|date=February 2007
