Johan Sigfrid Sirén (
May 27 1889 ,Ylihärmä –March 5 1961 ,Helsinki ) was a Finnisharchitect . He graduated as an architect in 1931 and is best known forEduskuntatalo , which is where theParliament of Finland meets. The building was finished the year he graduated.Sirén was a shareholder at "K. Borg, J.S. Sirén & Hj. Åberg" from 1918 to 1925. In 1931, Sirén set up his own office and also worked as a professor of Architecture at the
Helsinki University of Technology until 1957.Sirén's son
Heikki Siren is also a renowned architect, as was his daughter-in-lawKaija Siren .
