The school was one of the fouding members of the Round Square international association which has over sixty different schools all around the world. The school actively partakes in all the ideals of the round square, these are:

Thirds
Each student is assigned to a group or "third" for competitions in music, sports and various other events. There were originally three groups of pupils, however the number of "thirds" has now increased to nine to accommodate the larger school population. The current "thirds" are:
