Segan executive produced Showtime’s Emmy-nominated film, "Hendrix", based on the life of Jimi Hendrix. His other producing credits include Eric Schaeffer's "Wirey Spindell"; Universal Studios' thriller "Judgment Night", starring Emilio Estevez, Cuba Gooding Jr., Denis Leary and Stephen Dorff; MGM’s action-drama "Blown Away" with Jeff Bridges and Tommy Lee Jones; and the HBO Premiere Movie "Crossworlds".

In 2001, Segan approached writer/producer Michael Piller to develop a television series from Stephen King's novel The Dead Zone. The series "The Dead Zone", co-developed with Shawn Piller and starring Anthony Michael Hall, debuted June 16, 2002, on the USA Network. The sixth season of Dead Zone aired on USA Network in the summer of 2007.

In 2005, "Wildfire" debuted on the ABC Family channel, starring "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"'s Nana Visitor. As of late 2007, the fourth season of "Wildfire" has wrapped production in New Mexico and will air in early 2008.

In the summer of 2007, "Greek" debuted its first season on the ABC Family channel. More episodes of the college comedy-drama are set to follow in 2008.
