Seattle Country Day School

Seattle Country Day School (SCDS) is a private kindergarten through 8th grade school in Seattle, Washington, USA with 308 students. Created for gifted kids, SCDS's inquiry based curriculum not only teaches children facts and information but also how to learn. The school was founded in 1964 by Lucille Beckman. The school's campus is on the North side of the Queen Anne Hill neighborhood, near the Washington State Route 99 Aurora Bridge.

The construction project on the new middle school building is complete. The main office is now in the 4-5 building. This expansion project was opposed by many members of the community.
