Loomer Road Stadium is a sports stadium situated in
Chesterton, Staffordshire . Today, it hosts mainlymotorcycle speedway [Bamford, R & Jarvis J.(2001). "Homes of British Speedway". ISBN 0-7524-2210-3] and occasionallystock car racing , but in the past it has been the venue forgreyhound racing . Recently, there have been calls for a return of this to the stadium, but as yet, there are no plans put in place.The building has considerable parking facilities, covered terracing and a bar with a view of the track. It currently has a capacity of 5,000.
Events
The main function of the stadium is as the home stadium of two speedway teams; the
Stoke Potters and theStoke Spitfires , who race on Saturdays and Wednesdays respectively. In addition to this, the ground also hosts various events such as firework displays and occasional shows.External links
