Jennie Rothenberg

Jennie Rothenberg is an American journalist. She is an associate editor at "The Atlantic Monthly", one of two staff members responsible for writing and maintaining "The Atlantic" online. She previously was the senior editor of "Moment Magazine", the largest independent Jewish magazine in North America, from June 2004 until January 2006. She also worked briefly for "Wired News" and "Time Out London" in 2001 before getting a master's in journalism at UC Berkeley in 2002.

She is a 1997 graduate of Maharishi International University in Fairfield, Iowa, her hometown.

Writings include profiles of Frederic Brenner, Kinky Friedman, Daniel Barenboim, and Natan Slifkin for "Moment" and interviews with authors Rebecca Solnit, Paul Bloom, Rachel Cusk, Kazuo Ishiguro, Marilynne Robinson, Paul Theroux, Christopher Browning, Robert Gildea, James Carroll, Harold Bloom, Daniel Goldhagen, and Marshall Poe for "The Atlantic" online.
