Bill against Pornography and Pornoaction

The Bill against Pornography and Pornoaction ( _id. Rancangan Undang-Undang Anti Pornografi dan Pornoaksi) is a bill proposed by the Indonesian legislative assembly, Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat on February 14, 2006. The bill states that anyone engaging in pornography and "pornoaction" is punishable by law, "pornoaction" being a self-invented word that means "actions deemed indecent." This bill has provoked a severe negative reaction from many people who think that the government is trying to limit their freedom. Several public demonstrations have ensued both by people who support (the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and Muslim religious leaders) and reject the bill (feminists, artists).
