"Give It Back!" is an album by The Brian Jonestown Massacre, released in 1997 by Bomp! Records. Notably, this is the only album that features Peter Hayes, who went on to found the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Give It Back was the band's fifth studio album in two years. The sessions for the record were filmed for the documentary "Dig!". Though only a couple of minutes of these sessions appear in the film, the second disc of the double-disc set features more footage of the sessions (including recording Not If You Were The Last Dandy On Earth, the guitar track for Servo, and the vocals for Super-Sonic).

Not If You Were the Last Dandy on Earth

The stand-out single on the album, "Not If You Were The Last Dandy On Earth", is best known for being a sardonic track that targeted their supposed rivals, The Dandy Warhols. On the DVD commentary for DiG! Matt Hollywood notes that people would say things such as "Wow, Anton wrote a song about him stalking the Dandies?" He quickly ends "Actually, I wrote a song about how I "like" them, and it got taken as an attack" (quote is paraphrased). Hollywood goes on to discuss how he even borrowed elements of The Dandy Warhol sound. This refutes the popular opinion that the song was a scathing, literal attack and now shows the true friendship between the two bands.

The song was featured on the soundtrack to Jim Jarmusch's 2005 film Broken Flowers.
