Jaswal

Jaswal is a Rajput clan found predominantly in Northern India.

The etymological origins of the word Jaswal can be traced back to the Kingdom of Jaswan that was founded around 1170 CE in present day Himachal Pradesh.

Religion wise, Jaswals, in the contemporary context, like any other Rajput caste are primarily Hindu [ [http://www.uq.net.au/~zzhsoszy/ips/j/jaswan.html JASWAN ] ] , and can be Sikh [ [http://www.sikhrajput.com/index.php/section:0cf12/template:nature Sikh Rajput | About Us ] ] They are from states of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab from India.

Among the more prominent personalities belonging to the Jaswal clan include:-1. Ajay Jaswal - Investment Advisor, IL&FS Investsmart Securities Ltd. He has been performing exceptionally well in managing the finances of the high net worth clients from North India and Punjab in particular.
