Nick Cater

Nick Cater is an Australian journalist. He was appointed Editor of The Weekend Australian in March 2007 and has been a senior editorial executive at The Australian since 2004.^[1] Previously he was a deputy editor of the Sydney-based The Sunday Telegraph and assistant editor with the associated Daily Telegraph. Cater was a correspondent in Asia for the News Limited group of newspapers and had worked in the Canberra Press Gallery as the bureau chief for News Limited. He worked in the UK as a journalist with BBC TV after starting his career as a studio manager at the BBC External Service.^[2]

Cater is known for tracking down paedophile Robert 'Dolly' Dunn, which was revealed on the front page of The Daily Telegraph under the headline Hello Dolly.^{[citation needed]}

Cater was editor for the 2006 book, The Howard Factor, a review of the first decade of the John Howard government first elected in 1996 in Australia.^[2]
