Fernando Scarpa began his career in theater in 1990 and has achieved extensive international recognition in Europe. In 1999, the acclaimed European Oscar-nominated actor and director
Klaus Maria Brandauer appointed Scarpa as Personal Assistant to the prestigiousBurgtheater inVienna .In 2001 to 2005, Scarpa directed his own theater in the historical cultural city of
Wittenberg Germany , directing -- among other works -- "Hamlet ", "Faust ", and "Luther", for which he received 'German National Awards' in 2004, as well as public and critical acclaim. In addition, Scarpa served as the Artistic Supervisor for the Theater des Westens,Berlin for musical shows, and worked as a television director for both the national Italian stationRaiUno and major German stations ZDF and SAT1.In 2005, Fernando Scarpa moved to the
U.S. to gain experience in American film. He shot his debut short movie "Brothers", which almost immediately won BEST SHORT, BEST SCREENPLAY and BEST DIRECTORIAL DEBUT awards at the NYIIFVF inLos Angeles andNew York City . Scarpa's second film as director was "Scientifico", a short drama written by Aaron F. Schnore and Andrew Bouton Ph.D.In the beginning of 2007, Scarpa returns to Germany and directs with great success the Musical "
