Graduate Prospects publishes the long-standing Prospects series of graduate careers magazines and [http://www.prospects.ac.uk Prospects.ac.uk] , the UK’s official graduate careers website.

Formed in 1972 as CSU (Careers Services Unit), the organisation has recently changed its name to communicate the relationship between the Prospects brand and the parent company more clearly.

As the commercial subsidiary of HECSU, Graduate Prospects enjoys a unique position at the heart of higher education, working closely with careers advisory services bringing students, graduates and recruiters together.

The mission of the organisation is:

"To be the leading provider of graduate careers and recruitment solutions".

The Prospects portfolio of publications includes Prospects Directory, Prospects Finalist, Prospects Law and Prospects Work Experience for those seeking employment, and Prospects Postgraduate Directory, Prospects Postgrad and Prospects Postgraduate Funding Guide for those considering continuing their studies.

Graduate Prospects also provides a range of postgraduate services on behalf of the UK higher education sector, including the national postgraduate database and postgraduate online application service.

A recent innovation in the graduate recruitment market has been the launch of [http://www.prospects.ac.uk/links/graduate Prospects Graduate] . This is the revolutionary online digital magazine that enables users to view the magazine on the computer screen and link directly to recruiters through online job opportunities.

In addition to publications, Prospects also provides online careers advice and guidance to students and graduates via [http://www.prospects.ac.uk Prospects.ac.uk] . Services available include twice weekly interactive web chats with employers and course providers, online message boards, career and legal FAQs, online aptitude tests and the opportunity for students and graduates to email resident careers advisors for advice and feedback. (Please note that some of these services are reserved only for EEA nationals who have graduated in the past 5 years.)

Graduate Prospects works in partnership with the AGCAS (Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services) to maximise the opportunities and support available to all students and graduates throughout their career search.

Graduate Prospects/HECSU has a special relationship with AGCAS as its preferred partner with shared objectives for the support of HE careers services and related sectors. This entails service level agreements for information production and sponsorship of specified activities, as well as collaboration on a wide range of other projects and issues.
