Romola Remus (later Dunlap) (April 7, 1900 – February 17, 1987) portrayed Dorothy Gale in the multimedia stage/film production, "The Fairylogue and Radio-Plays", in which she worked directly with author L. Frank Baum. She was the first ever to play the role on film, though not the first to play it on stage. She was, however, the first child ever to play the role, at age 8. She elected not to move to Hollywood because of family and church in Chicago. There, she taught violin lessons.

She appeared in the 1985 documentary, "The Whimsical World of Oz".
