John Hardwick

John Hardwick is a music video, TV commercial and film director.

John Hardwick was first spotted in 1997 when two members of the band The Beekeepers had seen a short film John had made which appeared late one night on Channel 4. The Beekeepers, who were signed to the Beggars Banquet recording company, managed to track down John, they then convinced the managing director of the label to let John shoot their first video. The video for the single "Do You Behave Like That At Home?" was then seen by Blur.

He was born near Liverpool, and attended Swansea University (1984-88) where he did a degree in American Studies, spending a year at Baton Rouge university in Louisiana. In his final year he lived in Cymdonkin Terrace, in the Uplands area of the city,close to where, welsh poet Dylan Thomas was born. Whilst at Swansea he took his first steps towards a film career, taking a course in film production, making a short film with fellow students, and filming a conference held at Swansea, "The Vietnam experience" for the American Studies department.

His time at Swansea, overlapped with Richey James, missing guitarist from the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manic_Street_Preachers] Manic Street Preachers, who attended Swansea University from 1986-1989, it is not known if the two met.
