Baindur is a village in Kundapura Taluk of Udupi district in the state of Karnataka, India. It lies on the National Highway NH-17 which connects Mumbai in Maharashtra state to Mangalore in Karnataka state. Baindur lies on the coast of the Arabian Sea very close to the border of Udupi district with Uttara Kannada district. Baindur has a railway station that lies on the Konkan Railway.

The famous temples of Baindur are Sri Seneshwara Temple and Sri Mahakali Temple, which was recently renovated and Sri Sita Ramachandra Mandira. The population of Baindur is a mixture of Hindus predominantly belonging to Ramakshatriya community and Muslims. The muslims of Byndoor are Nawayats, the major families being Dabapu, Mawda, Tarapati and Akrami & Megoons.Most of the byndoor muslims work in the gulf. Many co-operative banks may be found in Baindur too.

The preferred occupation of the local is farming.
