Stephen Henderson (born 2 May, 1988 in Dublin) is an Irish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. He currently plays for Bristol City.

Club career

Henderson agreed to join Bristol City in May, 2007 on a one-year deal starting on July 1, 2007, when his contract with Aston Villa expired.cite news

Personal life

Henderson comes from a noted Irish goalkeeping family. His grandfather Paddy, was part of the successful Shamrock Rovers side of the 1960s and his father, also Stephen, played in the League of Ireland in the 1990s and is currently manager of Cobh Ramblers.

His two uncles are also goalkeepers; Dave won several honours with St Patrick's Athletic and Wayne has recently made his debut for the Republic of Ireland national football team.
