ARTv (Sri Lanka)

ARTv also known as Art TV is an English television channel broadcast around the greater Colombo and Kandy areas of Sri Lanka.

Programming

ARTv shows various English sitcoms, movies and news programmes, as well as CNN. It broadcasts older English movies, not very popular, but somewhat entertaining for many viewers. It also broadcasts its own news programmes (mainly business) and famous sitcoms from America and other countries. At other times it relays a live broadcast of CNN.

Dyna Vision

ARTv was launched as "Dynavision" in 1992. In 2003, it changed its name to ARTv.

Technology

ARTv is the only terrestrial broadcaster in Sri Lanka which broadcasts with stereo audio.
