Hip Parade released their debut single "Slow Me Down" under the band's DIY label Random Disc Records in the UK and on 'Eegit Records' in Japan. The band have performed many of the UK’s premiere underground venues including five appearances to date at Glasgow’s legendary
King Tut's Wah Wah Hut as well as sellout shows at the ABC2, and Nice N Sleay, Glasgow. The band are relatively unknown at present but are steadily pushing their way into the limelight with dedicated follower at home inGlasgow as well as across the country inAberdeen ,Leeds ,Manchester ,London ,Bristol . Following the release of the bands debut single a collection of new songs were released on free download to thank all of their fans for buying the record. The band disappeared from the live scene after a UK tour in October 2006 to record and write new material but this was interrupted by the attempted murder of lead singer
Rob Shah . Rob was violently attacked on Glasgow's Bath Street following aVelvet Revolver show at which friends of RobZico Chain were supporting. Rob was rushed to hospital with a severed artery after being stabbed in the neck. After life saving surgery the front man made a speedy recovery and the band made a return to the live stage in June 2008 with a sell out show atNice N Sleazy , Glasgow. The set featured new material including "All the Bad Kids" which is believed to be about the attack on the bands lead singer. The band announced that there are no immediate plans to make a full return but this would not be the last ever performance by the band.Discography
