Fry came through Hull City's youth structure. He made several appearances for the team in cup games, but his league debut against Brentford in the final game of the 2004–05 season lasted only 32 minutes until he had to leave the pitch with an injury. He signed a new two-year deal with Hull in August 2005.cite news
