Action of 18 November 1809 was a battle during the Napoleonic Wars. It took place on 18 November 1809 near Mauritius in the Indian Ocean, when 2 French frigates and a corvette defeated and captured 3 British East Indiamen. "Wyndham" was captured on 22 November after a long chase, but recaptured by the British frigate "Magicienne" 36 on 29 December just before she could arrive at Mauritius to meet the other ships.
