John Rennie High School has taken part in the
Canadian Improv Games for the past ten years, winning theMontreal games for seven of those years. Originally, every year it supported just one team, but as of 2004-2005, it started supporting a second team, sending both teams to compete in the CIG.For the Canadian Improv Games 2007, this coming year, it is sending in two teams. The senior team is titled The Scalalas, and the junior team is titled Amazingly Impaired.
After an intense battle of wits and inhibition-free on the spot thinking, The Scalalas overtook the Montreal competition and successfully earned themselves a place at the 2007 National Improv Tournament. They were the 5th team in a row from John Rennie to do so.
Another famous athlete who attended John Rennie was Ian Turnball, who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1980's.
