John Henderson (Mayor of Ludington)

John Henderson was elected mayor of Ludington, Michigan in 2002 defeating incumbent Mayor Carol Pomorski. During his tenure, Henderson has created a Youth Advisory Council and made it a priority to revitalize downtown Ludington. In 2006, he made it a priority to create a Skate Park near the Lake Michigan beach in Ludington. A $200,000 fundraising was soon launched for the project. Prior to being elected mayor, Henderson served on the Ludington Planning Commission and was elected to the Mason County Board of Commissioners. He is employed by Dow Chemical.
