The Lords Justices were appointed by George I while he was away, in Germany, in the capacity of Elector of Hanover.

*John Ker, Duke of Roxburgh;
*Sir Evelyn Pierrepont, 1st Duke of Kingston-upon-Hull;

*James Craggs the Younger.
