Shänne Sands (1934-) is a writer and poet from Great Britain.

Bombay City of Sandals (HB 1982 United Writers)

Fidelity is for Swans (HB 2006 Lithiack Press), her first selection of poetry.

Her prose work shows all her poetical instincts. The social conscience of her first novel was overlooked by many critics taking as its theme the beatnik era but brilliantly exposing the heartlessness of the drug age.

Her second books is about her travels in the 1950s in India.

Her poetry is mostly sprung verse deeply rooted in nature and love of creation. She does not fit into modern categories being a true original far in advance of her age.
